Pak footprint unravels in valley unrest

 NCP trying to form secular front

The tense situation in Kashmir, has been reported by all major news dailies on their front pages today.  "Curfew relaxed at last, but valley still on edge" reports the Hindustan Times.  The lead story in the Pioneer reveals "Pak footprint unravels in valley unrest" while the Times of India asks "Omar in chair but is he in full control of J&K?-Ministers to cops little support for CM".

The attempt by the NCP Supremo, to start a Secular Democratic Front leads the Hindustan Times to headline " For second time, Pawar looks to third front" while the Hindu says " NCP trying to form secular front, says Congress not giving any space".

The Times of India reports "Rains on track, Pawar predicts bumper yield" and adds that Mr. Pawar said a decision on de-controlling sugar prices could be taken if there is a good yield in the next crop year starting October.

The face off between the BJP and the Congress regarding Afzal Guru, has the Asian Age remark " Foot-in-the mouth Gadkari does it again", while the Hindustan Times says " BJP, Congress tell each other: Mind your language". The Hindi daily the Dainik Bhaskar reports that Mr. Gadkari has refused to apologize for his remarks."

Sundays World Cup is not only going to be a football contest between Spain and the Netherlands but also a contest between    prophetic Paul the Octopus who supports Spain, and Mani the soothsaying Parakeet from Singapore who is rooting for the Netherlands.  "Octopus ignores Dutch treat, swims with Spanish Armada" exclaims the Pioneer, while the Hindustan Times reports "World Cup Final: Paul Versus the Parakeet".
