The talks between Home Minister P Chidambram and his Pakistani counterpart Rahman Malik taking a postive turn find a prominent mention in all  the lead stories of major dailies today. "Surprise spark in Indo-Pak dialogue" says the Hindustan Times, while the Tribune notes" India Pakistan take  leap of faith" The Tribune also reports that Pakistan has offered to set up a special corridor for Sikh pilgrims to visit the sacred Gurudwara Kartarpur Sahib, three km from the international border.
In a related story the Hindu reports " Now Pakistan's FIA to collaborate with CBI on fighting terrorism." The Times of India on the other hand notes " LeT and ISI united in pan-Islamic terror", Headley  tells all, in fifty six damning hours of  statements to NIA.
According to a front page story in the Asian Age there is "Concern in govrnment about Mamta, DMK men." The government is apparently concerned about the functioning of three key ministries -railways, communications and information technology and fertilizers.
In its lead story in the front page, the Pioneer headlines "Anger Spills on the streets" and reports that Delhi led the nation in the protest against the hike in petroleum prices, with rallies by the BJP and left parties. The Hindu also reports that opposition parties hit the street in many places on Saturday, enforcing strikes in Kerala, Orissa and West Bengal.
A timely advice for the Delhiites during the Commonwealth Games. The Hindustan Times quotes the Delhi Commissioner of police as saying " Stay home during games or face traffic jams".
And finally the Times of India reports that a beggar on Saturday proved that charity only needs a big heart rather than deep pockets. Khimji Bhai Prajapati ,64 a beggar in Mehsana for a decade, donated clothes to 11 poor hearing and speech impaired girls at the Smt Kesar Bhai Kilachand school for the deaf.
